Vintage car show in St Helens

THE annual classic car show returns to St Helens town center next month.

Vintage cars of all types will be lined up for residents to admire, and prizes will be awarded for the best vehicle.

The free event, organized by St Helens Borough Council and the St Helens Classic Car Association, has been a notable attraction in the town center which attracts crowds of all ages each year.

Local charity Wonder Arts will also make an appearance on Church Street with an outdoor theater show for the whole family, as well as dancers, poets and musicians performing on the street throughout the day.

Families can enjoy a performance of ‘The Wind in the Willows’, ‘The Rascally Diner’ and more.

Councilor Anthony Burns, St Helens Borough Council Cabinet Member for Welfare, Culture and Heritage, said: “The St Helens Classic Car Show is always a great occasion, and with Wonder in the Street and Artists Together also performing on this day means triple the fun.

“If the turnout is anything like what we’ve had in previous years, it’s definitely going to be a fantastic day and one the whole family can enjoy.”

The event will take place on Saturday, September 3 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Church Street, with Wonder in the Street starting at 10:30 a.m.
