The Poseidonion Grand Hotel is ready for the “Weekend in Tweed” event

Dozens of cyclists will gather on the island of Spetses in the Saronic Gulf from April 15 to 17 to participate in the “Weekend in Tweed”a vintage cycling event hosted annually by the Poseidonion Grand Hotel.

“Spetses’ iconic hotel will welcome the tourist season with shiny bikes, stylish appearances, good humor and a retro atmosphere,” hotel management said in a statement.

Meanwhile, hotel guests will have the opportunity to spend a weekend full of vintage adventure, nostalgic atmosphere and tweed fashion.

The three-day program will include a relaxed bike ride with beautiful classic bicycles, a picnic in nature, a cozy afternoon tea at the Poseidonion Grand Hotel, as well as elegant tweed outfits.

The event will also include delicious culinary proposals, a beauty contest to reward the best tweed costume and a party.

The “Weekend in Tweed” event will take place with the support of the Greek Bicycle Museum.

The Poseidonion Grand Hotel first welcomed its guests to Spetses in the summer of 1914 and today continues to be a symbol of hospitality, remaining true to its cosmopolitan past and unique architecture.
