Steam and vintage vehicle enthusiasts flocked to Carver Barracks, Wimbish for the two-day Saffron Walden Crank Up.
This is the first time the event, organized by the East Anglian Traction Engine Society, has been held at Carver Barracks, at the old Debden airfield.
Organizers said there were 12 full-size steam locomotives and around 25 miniatures.
There were also classic tractors, cars and motorcycles, as well as a traditional fairground, trade and craft stalls and refreshments.
The event is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers.
Last year, the event did not take place due to the pandemic.
Michael Pumfrey said: “The increased space has allowed for a greater variety of vintage exhibits than ever before, including a Burrell steam locomotive formerly owned by the late Mayor of Saffron Walden, Steve Neville.
“Audience support was outstanding, it was nice to see crowds of smiling faces again, enjoying all that the show had to offer.”
The show will return to Carver Barracks on April 22-23, 2023.
