“ Restoring the Passion ” is the theme of the Youth Day art event

the International Federation of Vintage Vehicles is accepting applications for its annual Youth Day art competition under the theme “Restoring the Passion”.

Young people and ‘young at heart’ are invited to submit photographs, sketches, paintings, illustrations and videos that reflect the theme of the 2021 competition.

“Following the success of last year’s competition, we are once again celebrating United Nations International Youth Day on August 12 with creative competition,” said Nataša Jerina, FIVA Vice-President.

“Aimed primarily at under 18s, we still believe youth is a state of mind, not a number, so we have again included a category for more mature amateurs.

“If there is one positive message that we at FIVA can take away from the pandemic, it is the precious gift of quality time. Time spent driving back to the garage, getting your hands dirty, sharing laughs and making memories. This year, restoration has taken many forms: not only the time spent restoring our historic vehicles, but also the bonds we have rebuilt with the people we love.

“So… we invite you to share a photograph, sketch / painting / illustration or video of how you ‘restored the passion’ this year with your historic vehicle, interpreting the theme as creatively as possible.”

Entries in three categories – photography, sketch / painting / illustration and video – will be evaluated in three age groups – 5-11 years old, 12-17 years old and 18 years and over. The winners will be announced in September.
