‘Real Housewives’ star Dorit Kemsley stole $ 1 million from valuables in home invasion
Dorit Kemsley, a star of the Bravo reality TV show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, had around $ 1 million in valuables stolen during a home invasion on Wednesday night, said several police sources close to the investigation.
At around 10:50 p.m. local time on Wednesday, officers responded to a report of a home invasion in the 17000 block of Adlon Road in Encino, law enforcement sources told NBC News. The victim told officers who responded that “two or three men” broke into the house, smashing a back window and went upstairs where they confronted the victim in his bed.
The victim told authorities the men claimed to be armed, ordered him to get out of bed and asked him to lead them to jewelry and other valuables around the house, the sources said. At least one of the intruders threatened to kill her.
The victim complied and, at one point, the men left the property with possessions worth around $ 1 million, the sources said. There were security cameras nearby, but it was not immediately clear what had been recorded during the incident.
No vehicle was seen by the victim and no arrests were made Thursday afternoon. There are no reports of injuries.
The LAPD’s Robbery Homicide division, which deals with high-profile and celebrity-related cases, is now handling the investigation.
The news was first reported by the Daily Mail.
Representatives for Kemsley declined to comment on Thursday. Bravo did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Thursday.

About $ 1 million worth of jewelry and accessories were taken away, including a ring that belonged to her mother and diamond earrings her husband gave her on television.
Richards’ burglary and security concerns were mentioned on the show’s reunion special, which was pre-taped and aired on Wednesday.
Host Andy Cohen read a viewer’s comment to Lisa Rinna at the special reunion, who expressed concern over her decision to show off her vintage dresses in a garage detached from her home “after a burglar took over. stole all of Kyle’s Birkin bags.
“I was very worried after seeing this episode,” Cohen told Rinna. “I texted you and said ‘get your c — out of the garage. “”
Rinna assured Cohen and viewers that she moved the dresses to an establishment that specializes in maintaining vintage clothing.
