Nae Il McGee, 87 | Williamsburg Yorktown Daily
Nae Il McGee died at home on Monday, May 9, 2022 from the long-term effects and complications of her 17-year battle with colon cancer. Her loving husband was by her side. Nae was born on February 13, 1935 in Seoul, South Korea. After surviving the Korean War, she arrived in the United States in 1965 and soon became a naturalized citizen. She was very proud of her American citizenship and was a true patriot. Hampton alumni will remember her as the night manager and hostess of the Hampton Yacht Club. Nae was a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart. She loved all her friends, their children and grandchildren. Nae was a Certified Master Gardener and loved tending to her flowers and gardening projects. She was also a skilled seamstress, a superb cook and hostess, a great artist and even designed the house she and her husband lived in for many years. She could do anything.
Nae is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, retired Navy Chief Petty Officer Frank McGee., her son Jae Logan, her beloved daughter Kae Si and her husband Stanley Brzozowski, her stepson Michael and her wife Karen McGee, grandson Bryan Fleming and stepson Jared McGee. Brother-in-law Daniel and wife Elisabeth McGee, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Eileen and Ann. A gathering of friends and family to commemorate Nae is planned for a later date.
The McGee family would like to acknowledge the compassionate care and love given to Nae by the team of nurses and support staff at Riverside Hospice, allowing her to fulfill her desire to stay home for her final days.
