Maruti Suzuki WagonR Classic Edition digitally rendered

Maruti Suzuki WagonR is the best-selling car of April’21. Maruti Suzuki sold 18,656 units, which is a very large number. Well, here’s a video that imagines the WagonR as a classic. Earlier we saw Maruti Suzuki’s Zen Classic which was a more retro classic version of Zen. While the manufacturer has never repeated the same design language for any of its cars. An artist uploaded a video on his Youtube chain that imagines the WagonR Classic.

The artist completely redesigned the car. At first glance, it looks nothing like the WagonR we have seen on our Indian roads. It still sports WagonR’s iconic big boy design and some of the body panels, but has received a complete overhaul. The artist did not work on the back of the car. So we can only see the front and side profile of the WagonR. The artist calls this rendering the WagonR Classic Edition.

At the front, we can see that the upper part of the headlights has been redesigned and is now more rectangular. The grille only has “Suzuki” written on it also on the left side. It has very simple rectangular elements that resemble the old classic vehicles that we saw in our childhood.

The front bumper is also smoothed out but the WagonR’s air dam is still present as it is needed to supply the engine with fresh air. There is a very stylish chrome strip that divides the air dam and makes an outline around the rectangular fog lights. The hood now narrows more towards the headlights due to the different design. One interesting thing to note is that headlights use a clear lens while fog lights do not have a clear lens. The fog lights are as we have seen on some older vehicles.

Then we come to the side profile of the vehicle. We can see the same single character lines as on the original WagonR. There are prominent wheel arches and conventional door handles finished in body color. There is also a black stripe on the C-pillar that separates the roof from the rest of the car. It gives a floating roof effect to the rendering of the WagonR Classic Edition. The most eye-catching element of the rendering is the whitewall tires. In whitewall tires, a white stripe or sometimes the entire sidewall of the tire is covered in white color. The central hub receives a circular chrome piece that hides the lug nuts.

The tailgate is painted in two colors. The roof, A-pillar and exterior mirrors are white in color while the rest of the car is a unique green color that we have seen on older Cadillacs. While some people still don’t like the big boy design of the WagonR. We think the artist did a good job giving a vehicle like WagonR a retro look.
