Laguna Woods salutes those who gave their lives in service – Orange County Register
Dozens of village residents came to honor the fallen service members in the Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 31.
Classic cars, muscle cars and modern convertibles carrying military veterans made their way from Clubhouse 1, through village streets, through El Toro Road and to Clubhouse 4.
There, drivers, veterans and crowds gathered at 3 p.m. to silently observe the National Moment of Remembrance, an act of national unity in honor of the men and women who honorably served in uniform and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation.
The crowd waved or held their right hand above their hearts as a 14-year-old Boy Scout played tap dance as part of Taps Across America to honor veterans.
