Jason Momoa survives motorcycle crashing into his car – reports
The impact of the collision ejected the motorcyclist and caused him to bounce off Momoa’s windshield
MANILA, Philippines – Hollywood actor Jason Momoa was involved in a car accident after a motorcyclist collided with his vehicle on a winding road in Los Angeles, reports said Sunday, July 24.
According to the California Highway Patrol report obtained by HollywoodLifeMomoa was driving east on Old Topanga Canyon Road in a 1970 Oldsmobile when a motorcycle crossed the actor’s lane and collided with the car while rounding a bend.
The impact of the collision ejected the motorcyclist, identified as Vitaliy Avagimyan, and caused him to bounce off Momoa’s windshield. Fortunately, the jumper landed on his feet and survived with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the unscathed Aquaman and game of thrones star, got out of his Oldsmobile to help Avagimyan and was able to call 911 through a passing driver.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with bruises and a thumb injury, while the actor remained at the scene throughout the police check.
At the time of this writing, the accident is still under investigation, but no charges have been filed according to the New York Post. The actor and his representatives have yet to issue a statement on the incident.
Momoa, 42, starred in Netflix nice girl in 2021 with a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 muscle car that looks just like it was driving during the accident.
Despite the incident, the actor is also known for his love of vintage motorcycles. The game of thrones star posted collections of Harley Davidsons and was spotted taking a motorcycle ride along Malibu.
An on-screen and off-screen advocate for the world’s oceans, Momoa most recently spoke at the United Nations Ocean Conference in Lisbon in June. The actor is also confirmed to join the upcoming Fast and Furious 10 as the villain, alongside Vin Diesel. – with reports by Sydney Cañamo/Rappler.com
