Humboldt Vintage Days returns after a long pandemic absence
“Everyone was pretty happy to get back to it… It went really well and it was a busy day.”
And with the long break, it has given the club plenty of time to prepare for this year’s occasion and make it the best it can be.
Although this is an event they have held many times before, Hergott explained that it still doesn’t come off without a lot of effort.
“It’s something we’ve done in the past, as an annual event, but there’s a lot to plan and it’s a lot of prep work, especially when it’s so busy. “
As for the purpose of the days, Hergott added that it is to educate the younger generation about the history of the surrounding region.
“We have a lot of objects representing the history of agriculture in our region. Lots of items the younger generation has probably never seen before.
It all happened at the Humboldt Vintage Club which is just outside of town.
For an organization that is entirely volunteer-based, Hergott mentioned how important community support is, year after year.
“I want to thank all the members who participated, helped to prepare and organize the event because there was a lot going on. We also get some really good sponsors here in town from some companies, which really helps .
