Hampton NH area tribute bands Aerosmith and Neil Diamond launch summer concerts
Residents and visitors to Seacoast won’t have to travel far to enjoy great music this summer with two local communities offering free outdoor concerts starting this month.
For its 25th anniversary season, the Friends of the North Hampton Bandstand offers a full program of outdoor concerts every Wednesday evening from 5:30 p.m. or 6 p.m., from June 16 to August 25. The last in the series will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Labor Day Monday.

And just down the road Hampton Falls Friends Kiosk will feature a full summer lineup of concerts on the green every Thursday evening, starting at 6:30 p.m., June 17 through August 26. The final concert will take place on Sunday September 12.
North Hampton Kiosk Shows
The tradition of outdoor concerts that began in 1996 is alive and well, according to Friends of the North Hampton Bandstand, Delores Chase.
“I think we have a really great roster this year,” said Chase. “We have new groups and old groups. We have a Neil Diamond tribute band for the first gig. It’s new. We expect a lot of people will come to this. We all know the lyrics to his songs and it’s always fun.
Located at the intersection of Highways 111 and 151, the North Hampton Bandstand was built decades ago through contributions. Since his first concert on May 27, 1996, he has offered a summer experience in his hometown to thousands of people.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chase said the Friends held a limited outdoor concert program last summer and there were plenty of them. Those who came followed the instructions.
“We drew circles at appropriate distances and the people who came in were very good at social distancing,” Chase said. “We had no food (vendors), not wanting people to line up to buy food.”
In 2020, the coronavirus pandemic put a dent in the Friends of the North Hampton Bandstand’s usual sponsorship fundraising program that covers the cost of bands, she said, but concert audiences have returned. .
“We pass the bucket (of contribution) during the performances,” said Chase. “We thought the audience was even more generous than usual last year. I think they were really grateful that they had gigs to go to.
This year, local businesses and individuals are responding to fundraising letters, Chase said, and new and returning artists are set to perform again.
North Hampton Performers
Wednesday night concert artists include Ayla brown, Visitors, The BAHA brothers, Rico barr, Club Soda Band, The Reminisers, as good as JC and the Elvis experience, the New Legacy Swing Band, Sumx4 and Mainesqueeze. The Labor Day summer finale will be performed by Compaq Big Band.
Chase said there are usually a few hundred music lovers who come with blankets, chairs and picnic baskets every week. This year, the Friends could bring back food vendors, Chase said, but not as many as in previous years.
If the weather doesn’t improve, Chase said, notice is given before 1 p.m. on the day of evening performances or 10 a.m. for afternoon performances on website, his Facebook page, the city website and with a sign on the bandstand.

Hampton Falls Bandstand Shows

According to President Lyn Stan and Treasurer Karen Sabatini, the 2021 concert season will begin at 6:30 p.m. on June 17 with the tribute band Aerosmith Draw the line.
The first Cool Wheels automotive event will take place on the following Thursday, June 24, when the vintage cars line up on the green starting at 5:30 p.m., with the Allman Brothers tribute band.
