There will be classic cars galore in Pleasanton this weekend as the Goodguys’ 32nd Fall Reunion takes place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.

The Saturday and Sunday car show will include a range of entertainment for auto enthusiasts – and the rest of the family – on both days, as well as special recognition for veterans in recognition of the Day of Veterans.

“The event will feature thousands of vehicles made or motorized in the United States, including custom hot rods, muscle cars, restored classics and trucks from all years, as well as live entertainment, local food and vendors, a free Kid Zone, autocross races and additional activities for the whole family,” Goodguys officials said.

“In honor of those who have served our country and our community, there will be a special Veterans Day ceremony which will include a colorguard presentation and invocation, and a Vettes for Vets parade, during which more than 40 Corvettes will take local veterans on a cruise through the grounds,” organizers added. The parade and flag ceremony are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Also on day one, Hayward Fire Department Local 1909 will be hosting a charity “Smash 4 Cash” demolition derby to raise money for area fire and burn survivors and their families – at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
