Fast Freebies: Swing a Leg on a Classic Bike with the Vintage Motorcycle Club
Do you imagine yourself a fan of classic and vintage bikes but you have never had the opportunity to make a real scoot?
The Vintage Motor Cycle Club (yes, that’s the correct spelling) understands there’s a huge difference between looking through the museum glass and feeling the power of the pony for yourself – and they’re getting ready to get your dose in commemoration of creating a new generation with a love for old bikes.
Want to participate?
According The report, you don’t have to be a savvy rider to gain the privilege of riding Brough Superior, BSA – from a 1923 Matchless 350 to a 1989 Yamaha FJ1200; in fact, you don’t need to have a bike at all.
The British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) tells us that a 12-month individual subscription currently costs £42 – with the caveat that, “Members who sign up for the loan program will need a motorcycle license.”
“We want as many people as possible to experience what it’s like to ride an older motorcycle, and this is the way to do it,” says CCVM President Mario Costa-Sa.
“There are some restrictions on some of the older bikes, and members are responsible for the machines in their custody, but they will be covered by VMCC’s own insurance.”
With the BMF firmly in tune to connect the masterpieces of an older generation with the new generation’s growing love for all things bike, we can’t wait to see the results of this particular offering. .
