MONTICELLO – Camp Courageous will host the 34th âAnnual Cruise for Camp Courageousâ on Sunday May 16 from 10 am to 4 pm
Presented by the Cedar Valley Street Rods, Cruisin ‘for Camp Courageous is one of Iowa’s largest charity auto shows, featuring hundreds of show cars, vintage vehicles, motorcycles and trucks. Located at Camp Courageous, southeast of Monticello, this is a family-friendly event with a large live silent auction, several food stalls, music, and a large craft fair. 3D Sound will provide music and commentary. Pin striping demonstrations will be available in the field, in addition to children’s games, prizes and a bouncy house.
The Camp Courageous train will be on the track providing rides for all ages, as well as opportunities to enjoy the Camp Courageous terrain.
Pre-registration is open until May 12 for $ 10 per vehicle. Registration after this date and the day of the show is $ 15. Car registration on the day of the event takes place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. All participating vehicles receive two passes to the show. The first and second place trophies will be awarded in 24 different classes. The last prize of the day will be the âSpectator’s Choiceâ awarded to the vehicle chosen as the fan’s favorite.
Admission is $ 5 for adults. Free for children 12 and under accompanied by an adult. These fees will admit one to all events including the auto show, entertainment and more. A free parking is available.
Camp Courageous is a year-round recreational facility for people with special needs, serving nearly 10,000 people. It is run through donations, without government assistance, official sponsorship, or paid fundraisers. All proceeds from Cruisin ‘for Camp Courageous go to Camp Courageous.
