Antique auto show, Judy Collins concert kicks off the summer season

Car enthusiasts can watch over 300 vintage vehicles parade down the Ocean City Parkway at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 26.

The procession will close the 66th Annual Dave Blyler and Herb Godfrey Antique and Classic Automobile Show and Parade.

Prior to the parade, the vintage cars – all aged 25 or older – will be on display on the grounds of the Ocean City Tabernacle at 550 Wesley Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The show provides a great opportunity for shopping in the city center or taking a break on the beach and on the promenade to check out these classic cars. Visit for more information.

Tickets are still available for a June 28 concert featuring Judy Collins with special guest Richard Thompson.

The show is part of the 2021 summer concert series on the Ocean City Music Pier, which opened on Monday with a sold-out performance by the Led Zeppelin tribute group Get the Led Out.

Legendary singer-songwriter Judy Collins has lent her iconic voice to an impressive array of genres over her five-decade career – from her beloved folk work to acclaimed forays into rock and show tunes.

Richard Thompson is the opening act. He first rose to prominence in the late 1960s as the lead guitarist and songwriter of the folk rock band Fairport Convention.

The popular weekly Farmers’ Market on the grounds of the Ocean City Tabernacle will open June 30 and run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday through September 29.

The market offers the best fresh produce from local farms in the area, as well as a variety of craft vendors.

Ocean City’s “Wacky But Not Tacky” Wacky Wednesdays series begins at 10:30 am on June 30 at Ocean City Music Pier.

The event invites families and individuals to participate in various activities and contests. The season opener will feature the saltwater taffy sculpture. No prior registration is required for this free family event.

Market day entertainment and activities on downtown Asbury Avenue will open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 1 and continue on Thursday mornings throughout the season.

Tuesday’s funtastic entertainment will begin on the morning of July 6. Family home evening hosts various blocks from the boardwalk will perform Thursday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. starting July 1. The Mummers Night on the Boardwalk begins July 6 and continues from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays in season.

Ocean City Skate Park will be hosting a free Skate Bash on July 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday July 4. The event will feature a DJ, snacks, giveaways, and a patriotic costume contest. The skatepark is located at Fifth Street and Asbury Avenue.

The Ocean City Farmers and Artisans Market offers a wide assortment of produce, flowers, candy, and crafts.


Registration is open for any boat or house owner who wishes to participate in this year’s Night in Venice. Visit register.
