Alsace LA’s design showcases the power of visual storytelling, drawing on charming elements such as Bauhaus-inspired curves, white oak ceilings and floors, and site-specific artwork. With an emphasis on the unexpected, the hotel is truly a one-of-a-kind space, made culturally relevant with contemporary art, photography, and playful design details. Developed by the CIM Group with architectural design by NMDA Architects and interiors from Brooklyn-based Home Studios, Alsace LA’s layered exterior and interior design details include the eclectic use of vintage and custom furniture and lighting. Fluted textures, terracotta plaster, and warm wood materials subtly hint at the diverse vegetation and natural environment of California to create the ambiance of the home, the neighborhood, and distinctly Los Angeles.
Upon entering Alsace LA, guests are greeted into an intimate and hidden lobby, which mimics a Mediterranean-style portico (or porch). In a residential ambience, the hotel’s central courtyard filters light through each of the hotel’s three floors. The serene and welcoming rooms offer guests pleasant amenities as if they were staying in a well-organized residence. While each room features handcrafted details, the large suites also have a balcony or terrace, a personalized dining table, and a custom-made sofa bed.
Alsace LA guests will be treated to free coffee and pastries daily, and the hotel will partner with the nearby Hi-Lo Liquor Market, which will host boxes of wine, beer, spirits and more. of bespoke local snacks for guests to order on demand and have them delivered right to their room. The hotel will also host a new restaurant concept to be announced this winter, offering dining options inside and outside the hotel courtyard.
