A vintage car show at Durham’s Hardwick Hall prepares for a busy weekend
The chrome is polished and the bodywork inspected ahead of the return of the North East Classic Car and Motorcycle Show in County Durham this weekend.
Around 400 vintage vehicles will be on display at the show which is again taking place at the Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield – and there’s still time for latecomers to register for Sunday’s event. The hotel grounds are designed to provide the perfect setting to show off the refreshed classics that will vie for attention and compete for awards.
A wide range of classic cars and motorcycles will attract the attention of judges who will award a number of prizes including Pride of Ownership, Club of the Show and Car of the Show. Anyone with a vehicle dating from 2007 at the latest and interested in participating can register online and thus receive a commemorative plaque and have the chance to participate in the contest.

A panel of experienced judges will decide the winners, and motor show veteran Richard Lee will oversee the competition and provide commentary. The annual show is family-friendly and, in addition to parked cars for visitors to browse, there will be stalls and food and drink outlets.
